My Interests

I am a doctoral student in the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University. I am currently interested in social informatics, human-computer interaction, online social networking, and digital humanities. My current work involves investigating the theories, frameworks, and methods used to examine privacy, social capital, and impression management in the domain of online social networking sites. I have a particular interest in Erving Goffman’s concept of impression management. I am currently a Web programmer for the Chymistry of Isaac Newton Project and was recently a web developer for the Text and Image Linking Environment (TILE) digital libraries project. I have been invited to speak about the Chymistry of Isaac Newton Project and annotations in Digital Humanities. I’ve taught classes on web programming and online social networks, a summer workshops for information professionals on PHP, and I am currently teaching an Information Architecture for the Web course.
