This site is owned by a thirty-something Ph.D. student in the School of Library & Information Science at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. I’m married and have no kids.
This hopefully will serve as a repository of research interests, class papers, personal information and other miscellaneous information. In many ways, this site represents an attempt to manage a certain impression that I’m trying to make on you without context and without exact knowledge of my audience.
My broad research interests include human-computer interaction, social informatics, information architecture, networking and information visualization as it pertains to the entire information life cycle. My current work has involved exploring the theories, frameworks, and methods used to examine management of social relationships in social network sites (SNS). I’m particularly interested in Erving Goffman’s concept of impression management.
